Thanks to a generous donation from David Kahn and Barbara Kramen-Kahn and support from Sierra Senior Services, Cathee conducted the first collaborative program for Truckeeā€™s Art-Health Alliance with her Egg Painting Workshop for Seniors. Originally designed for children, Cathee adapted this fun, easy, nine-session workshop to meet the specific needs and capabilities of older people. During the summer workshop, participants painted their own stories around the surfaces of eggshells laid by ducks, geese, guinea hens, and chickens. Then they shared their stories in the form of narrative poems with messages to the world. Cathee created an optional keepsake book documenting the workshop for the participants to take home.
